Check out this new social gps phone app called Waze. Never get lost again and…

While this is not our typical health topic, my cousin from Brazil turned me on to this new Iphone app called Waze. It is free (great price) and you can use it to help yourself navigate through the traffic jungle.

This past weekend, while returning from Boston, it was helpful in figuring out traffic patterns and why the traffic was occuring. Other users chime in and let you know if there is an accident, where it is slow while you drive and the app itself is also a GPS. Gone are the days where you need to pay your cellphone carrier a monthly fee for a function that is essentially built into todays smart phones. This app will give you turn by turn directions just like your stand alone GPS in your car.

Another function is that other drivers will let you know if there is any police activity or speed traps ahead. This is quite valuable if you are traveling so you can avoid many unnecessary hassles such as speeding tickets.
