It’s hot! Are you drinking enough water? Did you know it could help you lose weight too?
It sure is hot outside, and it is important to stay properly hydrated drinking lots of water. Most people walk around in a constant state of dehydration which can over the long term stress the body and even cause problems with the heart and other organ systems. It is important to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day for proper cellular function. This is especially true if you intend to run on those hot and humid days.
There is another benefit, especially if you are a someone who is trying to maintain or lose weight is to drink water throughout the day. What this means is that if you drink more water, it is easier to keep the weight off. Of course, more studies need to be done however, most people who have been on a structured diet have been told to drink lots of water. Basically, it helps you lose weight, while have the secondary effect of avoiding dehydration and helping the body systems function better.
