How to perform a Yoga Bridge

When performing a Yoga Bridge, which is the first exercise most patients receive as they begin rehab, begin with 6 reps and daily add one or two more.  Once you reach 12 reps, add on a one-legged bridge.  During this time, I will add additional exercises to ensure this works better for you as you gain strength and flexibility, which are necessary for the one-legged bridge.

One-legged bridges are also beginning with 6 on each side, with the goal of 25.  Once you reach the goal, you can stop doing them, and I will be teaching you other exercises in the rehab program.

Bridges are part of your back care survival kit, which will be learned during your time in the office.   They can be performed at any time, and I usually perform them once a week for myself.  If you wake up stiff, a few bridges will improve mobility and how you feel.

Perform them regularly for a strong, healthy back.
