Insurance companies are not doctors, so why do we allow them to practice medicine? Are insurance companies in the business of curtailing healthcare costs and helping improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare in the USA?  If they are, they have done a horrible job with it, as healthcare costs more in the USA than any other country.   They are also telling doctors how to treat their patients while loading them up with obscene administrative burdens.
