Many sources suggest we eat fish at least two times per week. There are many markets in this area that offer fresh fish (many of the Asian markets are great places to get fresh fish).

Unfortunately, certain types of fish have unhealthy amounts of mercury, which if eaten too often can lead to mercury poisoning. Here is a helpful chart that can show you which fish are healthier and which ones are likely to be highest in mercury content.

Just a side note, farmed fish can contain PCB’s which are harmful, so fish caught in the wild are always preferable.
