What are the health benefits of wormwood?

An earlier blog post suggested the use of wormwood tea to help someone who had covid-19 recover faster.   I had recommended this protocol after it shortened my initial course or covid-19 to less than a week. What is Wormwood?  According to Wikipedia, "Artemisia absinthium (wormwoodgrand wormwoodabsintheabsinthiumabsinthe wormwood,[4] mugwortwermoutwermudwormitwormod[5]) is a species of Artemisianative to North Africa and temperate regions of Eurasia,[6] and widely naturalized in Canada and the northern United States.[7] It is grown as an ornamental plant and is used as an ingredient in the spirit absinthe and some other alcoholic beverages." Wormwood has been used for many reasons, including killing parasites, improving digestion, and managing pain. It also may have other health benefits for sufferers of Crohn's disease, and even to manage pain.
