New study suggests that young children need exercise for optimal brain function and development
When our generation, from the baby boom were young, we would run around, play games and get a lot of physical exercise. Of course, we had gym while we were in school but unlike today, with many children sitting in front of a screen or playing a video game that requires the use of their thumbs rather than their bodies, our generation moved. It was not unusual for us to stay out playing all day and then at night, be called into the home by our parents.
Apparently, all that natural exercise did something to enhance our brain development says a new study in the NY Times. Check it out here
