10 year old NJ girl breaks record at a national track and field competition. Having been the medical director for USA Track and Field in NJ since 1992, I appreciate raw running talent when I see it.   A few years ago, Sydney Mclaughlin, who was a student at Union County Catholic High School was setting records in NJ and eventually, qualified for the Olympics. Dr. William Charschan is medical staff for USATFNJ Jr. Olympics in Plainfield NJ this past weekend Most children who participate in track and field and most adults who do one of the many road races throughout the year are familiar with USATFNJ who is the local chapter.  USATFNJ sponsors many track and field events throughout the year both regionally and nationally. Dr. Charschan volunteers as medical staff for USATF NJ Cross Country Championships It was a beautiful morning in Peapack Gladstone’s Nitirar park on Sunday August 30th, 2015. This is the beginning of USATF’s cross country season. Over a hundred runners participate in this 5k race that began at 9am. The first runners were crossing the finish line by 9:16 which is a pretty nice race. A number of the local running clubs had participants who finished early.
